Helping Hand...

Afternoon all...

Hopefully your weekend has had some quiet time to cheer for your favorite NFL team or work on other things to mentally recover from what has been a pretty intense week. I know that you and your family, just as mine does, continues to pray for all of our warriors serving with the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment. These are well trained men and women who are taking care of business. I am proud of them - how about you?

Always remember that our loved ones need us to stay strong and pace ourselves...in effect, we need to keep our battle rhythm on an even keel. They still have approximately 10 months to go on this deployment. Lets continue to support our soldiers and each other day in and day out.

When our warriors are outside the wire they are always covering each other and providing a helping hand. Note the photos and the teamwork that is displayed. How does that apply to us? I would challenge you to reach out to those with warriors in the fight who might be struggling at this time and be a source of encouragement to them...even its virtual or via a phone call. Won't you? It is the least we can do...

Finally, here are some of the current photos of our warriors from the 2nd SCR that are hitting the web. Special thanks to Ms. Sharyn for providing the link (Daylife) to the photos. Well done ma'am!

Enjoy the photos below and also visit the site for even more... maybe one of your loved ones was in the eye of the camera?

I love you Chris and I am so very proud of all you and the 2nd SCR are doing every day. Stay strong and be safe son.

Our group has come together as a team that would make our soldiers very proud. Have we learned from them, or have they learned from us?

Michael - thanks for your comment and question.

I expanded my blog early on to include information on the entire 2nd SCR and not just my son's unit - Dog Company, 2nd Squadron.

I will keep my eyes out for H Company - can you share which Squadron your husband is with? I am assuming 3rd but I wanna be sure.

Thanks - let me know.

Welcome Allison! Based on your last comment I figured you must have been using your husbands account - but I didn't know what to call you ;-)

I will continue to look for info on your husbands unit...if I find it, you will see it here ;-)

Thanks again for your comments and make yourself at home...
