Hard Ass Right...

Evening...

The info hounds tipped a couple of interesting video stories from BBC correspondent Jonny Dymond and cameraman Bhas Solanki as they joined our warriors from 3rd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment while on patrol in the Diyala Province, Iraq.

Grab a hot cup of java and spend some time with our strykers as they work their area of operations...the title of this blog will be evident in the second video...

The first video is LTC Rod Coffee explaining what he sees and what lies behind the current strategy in the bread basket...

The second video provides the best insights into a day in the life of the 2nd SCR...

The reporters were relaxing after a long day and looking forward to a hot meal when...things started to go wrong. Yet, it had nothing to do with an attack...

I am humbled when I see clips like these...are you?

Chris, we are constantly in prayer for you and the entire 2nd SCR...be safe buddy! I love you!

Seems to me that the "hard asses" here are the soldiers that just don't have quit in their vocabulary! It's no wonder the Army has the mule as it's mascot. Way to stick with it until they got the job done. This clip is not the picture of an isolated incident, it's an example of a mindset. Keep on pushing guys!

As with everything our soldiers do, giving up is not in their vocabulary. This is the spirit that carries them through each day and will bring them home to us in November.
If New York City sees any snow this winter, I will remember hearing the words hard ass right, hard ass left as I try to move my vehicle.
